Promoting the high-quality development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt ＂Yangtze River Train＂ was launched in Chengdu

　　At 10: 00 on December 10th, the Yangtze River Intermodal Train from Chengdu, Sichuan Province to Jingzhou, Hubei Province was successfully launched at Chengxiang Central Station in qingbaijiang district, Chengdu, Sichuan Province.

　　The train will arrive in Jingzhou, Hubei Province by railway, and then be distributed to Jiangsu, Shanghai and other places by Yangtze River water transport, and the transportation time will be changed from the original 15-mdash; 20 days is shortened to about 10 days.

　　It is understood that the traffic volume of the Three Gorges Project on the Yangtze River has increased rapidly since it was put into operation for 20 years. According to the data, the traffic volume of the Three Gorges Project has reached the design limit of 160 million tons in 2022, and reached a record high in the first three quarters of 2023, reaching 127 million tons, up 10.02% year-on-year. The waiting time has increased from 17 hours in 2011 to 223 hours in 2022. The phenomenon of the Three Gorges Ship Lock waiting for the lock has become normal.

　　Through the "Yangtze River Train" of hot metal combined transport, the load of the Three Gorges Project can be effectively reduced, the cargo transportation time can be greatly shortened, and the transportation capacity of the upstream and downstream cargo passages along the Yangtze River can be effectively enhanced.

　　"Yangtze River Train" will realize normal two-way operation through pilot guidance, gradual expansion and orderly expansion. It is estimated that by 2030, the diversion of the navigation volume gap of more than 15 million tons of the Three Gorges Hub will be completed, accounting for about 30% of the total diversion transportation of the Three Gorges in the future, effectively lifting the constraints brought by the water transportation in Sichuan, Chongqing and the western region, and contributing to better service and integration into the domestic and international dual cycle.
