　　　　　　 According to the introduction of Shenzhen Waterway Affairs Center, the unit in charge of Shenzhen Bay Waterway Dredging Project, according to the needs of economic development, Shenzhen plans to dredge the existing Shenzhen Bay Waterway to expand the current 300-ton waterway to a thousand-ton waterway, so it is necessary to deepen the waterway by about 1.5 meters.

Shenzhen Waterway Affairs Center said that as a construction agent, they have no right to review the report issued by the third-party environmental assessment agency, so they will directly publicize the environmental assessment report of Nanhai Institute of Oceanography of Chinese Academy of Sciences online.

The Institute has suspended its participation in this project contract and initiated the accountability procedure for the responsible person.
